The  Domaine de Castelnau has very old origins , possession of the Seigneurs de Guers as soon as the 13 th century .It is located   4 kms  from the picturesque and historical city of   Pézenas, not far away from the Etang de Thau. The tasting cellar is located in Castelnau de Guers .

The vineyard spreading  over  plains and garrigues , covers around 210 Hectares . The Domaine uses state of the art equipment  for the various chores in the vineyard . All plots are trellised .The vines are grown the sustainable way   .The vinification methods are both traditional and modern .

The  Muret  family has taken over this Domaine in 1997 . The team also  includes François Prinsloo , a graduated winemaker ( originating from South Africa)

The Domaine de Castelnau offer a large range of   Vins de Pays d’Oc with varietals  such as  : Sauvignon,Chardonnay, Viognier, Rosé de Cinsault, Syrah, Merlot- Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir . They also produce an Aoc Picpoul de Pinet ( the domaine have more than 20 hectares of white Piquepoul ) 

In 2018 , the range gets bigger in particular thanks to the addition of AOP Languedoc wines. We are now able to vinify grapes from a farm rent in the Corbières area : Château la Guirlande
 

We have made tremendous efforts in the last 5 years to set up a nice distribution network .There still is room for serious distributors in areas like Belgium, Germany etc
